I hesitated for a long time before I picked one of these up but once I did I was impressed enough to buy another one. At under $60 it was definitely worth it. There are a ton of uses for these and I will touch on a few but our main use is to store extra solar power to charge our devices as needed.
Let’s start with the things I love about the Anker 337. The 2x input ports for charging will deliver 4amps of power to the unit and completely charge it in 6.5 hrs if you have the appropriate wall adapter (this one will work Bull USB Charging Station) This is a really nice feature when trying to top off the battery or recharge from dead when we have excess solar input during the day. Now we can store it for nighttime charging or cloudy days instead of using our main battery bank, and with 4 led indicators for charge state you always know how full it is.
That leads me to another nice feature of the PowerCore 26k. The 3 output ports that total 30w of output. Phones and other devices can charge or run directly on this as a battery in my experience. With a decent output I am normally charging more than I am using any device if I have it plugged in. Works great for additional battery when filming long videos or doing heavy power consumption activities on your device.
The last thing I want to touch on is the size and quality of the battery bank. Measuring in at 3.2″ x 7.1″ x 0.9″ is is slim and compact enough to slide in your back pocket or spare pocket in a backpack. It does weigh in at 17.46 oz so it is a little heavy but when you think about carrying around that many batteries it doesn’t seem that bad. The construction seems to be tough as nails. I have dropped it, left it in a hot car, in a freezing truck and it still keeps ticking. I have not noticed any significant change in performance of either of the ones I own.
If you want to store some excess solar, need a battery bank for your go bag, some spare power in the car or just a little extra power when out using your devices I would definitely recommend checking out the Anker 337 / PowerCore 26k.
