That’s 182 days until Christmas.
153 days until Thanksgiving.
130 days until Halloweeen.
110 days until Self Reliance Festival (plug SRF & affiliate link?)
11 days until soo many dogs freak out from fireworks on the 4th of July.
At least I think so.. there’s been a lot of counting, this weekend.
Good Monday morning and happy day that ends in the letter Y.
Inventory, it’s a hell of a drug. What a fucking weekend…
Anyone know that Meme with where Matthew McConaugh’s intense face while
taking a massive drag from a cigarette? Fuuuccccckkkkkk…… (Interstellar movie)
This Florida-dude lost count of how many times “W-the Fuck”,
in soo many diverse ways, it reminded me of ‘Boondock Saints’…..
Here’s the IMQB quote from Boondock Saints, just in case anyone isn’t familiar –
Rocco: Fuckin’- What the fuckin’. Fuck. Who the fuck fucked this fucking… How did you two fucking fucks…
…Fuck!!!
Connor: (Snickers) Well, that certainly illustrates the diversity of the word.

Oh, speaking of that. Hey, Kyle- how’s the ‘less’ smoking thing going?
Good luck, again… and again…
…. Anyway ….
Todays LOTS of wiki history –
- 1886 – Henri Moissan isolated elemental Fluorine for the first time.
It is the lightest halogen and exists at standard conditions as a highly toxic, pale yellow diatomic gas.
As the most electronegative reactive element, it is extremely reactive, as it reacts with all other elements except for the light inert gases.
Pip’s death notes – He died suddenly in Paris in February 1907, shortly after his return from receiving the Nobel Prize in Stockholm.
His death was attributed to an acute case of appendicitis, however,
There is speculation that repeated exposure to fluorine and carbon monoxide also contributed to his death.

- 1934 – United States President Franklin D. Roosevelt signs the Federal Credit Union Act, which establishes credit unions.
The purpose of the law was to make credit available and promote thrift through a national system of nonprofit, cooperative credit unions.
This Act established the federal credit union system and created the Bureau of Federal Credit Unions,
the predecessor to the National Credit Union Administration, to charter and oversee federal credit unions.
Pip’s notes – Banks.. Credit Unions… money printers doing burrrrr sounds… all the same.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_Credit_Union_Act
- 1974 – The Universal Product Code is scanned for the first time to sell a package of Wrigley’s chewing gum at the Marsh Supermarket in Troy, Ohio.
Technology firms including Charegon, IBM, Litton-Zellweger, Pitney Bowes-Alpex, Plessey-Anker, RCA, Scanner Inc., Singer, and Dymo Industries/Data General, put forward alternative proposals for symbol representations to the council.
The Symbol Selection Committee finally chose to implement the IBM proposal designed by George J. Laurer, but with a slight modification to the font in the human readable area.
Pip’s notes – ‘beep’… ‘beep’… after Pip’s weekend of parts inventory, that sound has increased in the annoyance level…. ‘beep’
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_Product_Code
- 1997 – The U.S. Supreme Court rules that the Communications Decency Act violates the First Amendment to the United States Constitution.
The Communications Decency Act of 1996 (CDA) was the United States Congress’s first notable attempt to regulate pornographic material on the Internet. In the 1997 landmark case Reno v. ACLU, the United States Supreme Court unanimously struck the act’s anti-indecency provisions.
Pip’s notes – Why does this remind me of Oscar Wilde… “they tell you not to, but they do it daily” (or something like that)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Communications_Decency_Act
- 2000 – The Human Genome Project announces the completion of a “rough draft” sequence.
Planning for the project started after it was adopted in 1984 by the US government, and it officially launched in 1990.
It was declared complete on April 14, 2003, and included about 92% of the genome.
Level “complete genome” was achieved in May 2021, with a remaining only 0.3% bases covered by potential issues.
The final gapless assembly was finished in January 2022
the goal of determining the base pairs that make up human DNA, and of identifying, mapping and sequencing all of the genes of the human genome from both a physical and a functional standpoint.
It started in 1990 and was completed in 2003.
It remains the world’s largest collaborative biological project.
Pip’s notes – ‘rought draft’…. did the fucking computer use a crayon to map the human gene?!?
…wait.. did anyone else play that video game ‘Metal Gear Solid’.. cause this is starting to sound familiar.
Wasn’t it something like ‘targeted viruses’ or something?
Pip’s side note – Anyone want to bet 3,000 sats that Elon blipped the interwebz during this history note?
(Terminator 2 meme with young John Connor) we’re not gonna make it, are we?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_Genome_Project
- 2013 – The U.S. Supreme Court ruled, 5–4, that Section 3 of the Defense of Marriage Act is unconstitutional and in violation of the Fifth Amendment to the United States Constitution
assed by the 104th United States Congress and signed into law by President Bill Clinton on September 21, 1996.
It banned federal recognition of same-sex marriage by limiting the definition of marriage to the union of one man and one woman,
and it further allowed states to refuse to recognize same-sex marriages granted under the laws of other states.
