The LOTS Project Morning Show Ep. 835: Trucks, Trees, and Trips to Space
Good morning and welcome to another episode breakdown of The LOTS Project Morning Show Ep. 835 dropped on April 21, 2025, and today we brewed up an experimental blend of 1/2 Dark Costa Rican and 1/2 Medium Peruvian coffee from our friends over at Food Forest Farms. And let me tell you—this cup was exactly what I needed to tackle a show packed with stories, reflections, and some good ol’ redneck ingenuity.
Here’s what went down in this episode:
Truck Troubles: The Aftermath of an Appointment
We kicked things off with a recap of a long-overdue truck appointment. As any RVer or homesteader knows, keeping your vehicle road-ready is key, and this one needed some serious TLC. The shop got me squared away on the essentials, but as always, there’s more to be done.
Turns out, some of the “not urgent but important” fixes are now squarely on my plate. And honestly, that’s how a lot of life goes, right? You can outsource only so much before the wrench ends up in your own hand. Whether it’s replacing worn belts or fixing minor electrical quirks, it’s a reminder to stay hands-on and proactive. The good news? I’ve got the tools and coffee to get it done.
Blue Origin: A Trip to Space or a Big Budget Joyride?
Next up: Blue Origin. We took a minute (or ten) to unpack the latest headlines about their “trip to space.” Now, if you know me, you know I keep one foot firmly on the ground—but that doesn’t mean I don’t have opinions.
Is it space exploration or just glorified tourism for billionaires? There’s something poetic (and slightly ridiculous) about spending hundreds of millions to go just past the Kármán line for a few minutes of zero gravity. Meanwhile, back on Earth, we’ve got folks trying to drop trees without killing themselves (more on that next).
But I get it. There’s a curiosity baked into human nature. We want to push boundaries, leave footprints on the moon, and now, apparently, take selfies at the edge of space. The real question is: how long until this becomes more than a rich man’s novelty? We’ll keep watching.

Redneck Tree-Felling: A Lesson in Controlled Chaos
Let me set the scene: I watched someone drop a monster of a tree the other day, and folks—this wasn’t some OSHA-approved, textbook-safe operation. No, this was redneck brilliance at its finest. The tree needed to come down, and the methods were, shall we say, creative.
There were ropes. There was a skoolie. There were no helmets. And yet—that tree fell exactly where it was supposed to. Sometimes, out here, that’s how things get done. It reminded me of the balance we strike between caution and confidence, between planning and just getting it done.
Of course, I’m not saying you should run out and start chopping trees with a chainsaw and a prayer. But there’s something to be said for old-school, real-world knowledge. These are the kinds of skills that don’t come with a certificate—you earn them through years of getting your hands dirty.
What’s Ahead This Week?
To close out the episode, I gave a quick look ahead at what this week has in store. Between truck fixes, content creation, and maybe catching a few moments of calm between the chaos, it’s shaping up to be a busy one.
There are projects on the RV and property front, a few behind-the-scenes podcast tweaks, and, of course, a continued dive into solo Bitcoin mining and decentralization projects. The hustle doesn’t stop, but that’s exactly the way I like it. Every week brings new opportunities to learn, earn, and share.
